The most important part of any job well done is what happens before you start creating the layout, prepare database xlsx.
To create an xlsx database you don’t need to use Microsoft Excel, just use any software that can save files in this format. Numbers for macOS, OpenOffice and Google Sheets are good alternatives, the important thing is that the format of any file is xlsx.
It is important to use simple spreadsheets, not charts or other elements.
The first thing to do is to make sure that each item in each sheet has a unique code, which must always be in the first column of the xlsx file. This code (item code, product code, etc.) is the value associated with each worksheet row in the xlsx database. This code is essential.
If a worksheet containing articles with the same code is imported several times into our Pronto Pricelist system, the data of the last sheet will overwrite the data of the previous sheets.
In the first line of the worksheet the headers (Code, Title, Images, etc.) of the fields in Pronto Pricelist will be written. Below the headers will be inserted the related data. If more than one language is present, the abbreviation of the language must be written in brackets in the header such as: Code, Title (IT), Title (EN), Image, etc. Below the headers the data with the relevant translations will be written.
If you want to insert an image in the xlsx database, the insertion method is as follows:
In the Image column report the full path to the image (the name of the folder where it is located), the name and format. Example: Going to media, if you have inserted an image named image_guide1.jpg in a folder called @b4_demo-guide (the name of the folder will be automatically generated by our system), when you write the path of the image in the xlsx file you will write: /@b4_demo-guide/ image_guide1.jpg
